Maintenance Engineer (Refinery)

Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and oversee all maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for plant equipment, including pumps, motors, compressors, boilers, and instrumentation.
- Plan and coordinate plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major equipment overhauls.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and predictive maintenance to improve equipment performance.
- Monitor maintenance data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage maintenance budget, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.
- Oversee contractor and vendor management, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and regulatory requirements.
- Enforce workplace SSHE standards and conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for maintenance planning and execution.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to maintenance personnel.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and reliability engineering, preferably in biodiesel, oleochemical, petrochemical, or refinery plants.
- Strong knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance, RCA, and FMEA.
- Hands-on experience with CMMS software (SAP).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with plant utilities such as boilers, compressors, pumps, and rotating equipment.
- Willing to work in Port Dickson and travel when required.
