Job Purpose
The role will be supporting the Corporate Sustainability framework in executing Petron Malaysia’s sustainability strategies and initiatives. In addition, the role is required to liaise with both our internal and external stakeholders to provide/ collect ESG information


Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Sustainability Council on the implementation of sustainability strategies and working together with Sustainability Technical Working Group on the execution of sustainability initiatives and data collation.
  • Assisting in driving the company’s sustainability agenda and build brand reputation as a responsible and caring organisation.
  • Developing and proposing the Group short-, medium- and long-term sustainability strategies.
  • Keeping abreast of global and local best practices with regards to sustainability.
  • Supporting other functions in delivering sustainability-integrated output, as and when required.
  • Drafting and editing annual Sustainability Report in accordance with Group’s framework and international guidance. Benchmark Group’s performance against its peers and identify and recommend improvements.
  • Collating, compiling, analysing and interpreting complex data and information.
  • Supporting multi stakeholders groups, organising meetings/communication sessions, minute-taking and preparing presentations as well as arranging trainings for Sustainability Council and Sustainability Technical Working Group.
  • Monitoring in tracking and achievement of our sustainability related KPIs and performance.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with exposure of working on sustainability preferably with experience in the Oil & Gas or banking sector.
  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science & Technology, Public Relations/Communications or Sustainability relevant courses.
  • Proven records in delivery of sustainability initiatives and experienced in supporting delivery of Sustainability Report timely.
  • Familiar with local and international Sustainability frameworks and standards i.e., Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting Guide and Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF), Climate Change and Principle-Based Taxonomy (CCPT), Value-Based Intermediation (VBI).
  • Undertaken Sustainability-related courses will be added advantage i.e., GRI Certified Sustainability Professional.
  • Good in analytical thinking skills and detailed orientated.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of project Management and operational management.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-tasking and ensuring meeting timelines.
