Tax Analyst

Job Responsibilities
Subsidy- To keep track of MOPS, LPG, POME pricing and exchange rate in anticipation of the Tax regime from time to time.
- To compile and disseminate Automatic Mechanism (APM) rates for relevant departments and for the purpose of subsidy claim calculation. In addition to that, to do forecast for Sales Tax & Subsidy for the company cashflow efficiency.
- To review and improve APM and Rates and Regime templates for optimal operating efficiency.
- To coordinate with respective terminal personnel in compiling data and ensure Sales tax and Subsidy documents reached terminals within submission deadline by Customs.
- To follow up with terminal personnel to ensure Customs acknowledgements are returned to department on timely basis.
- To ensure documents of monthly Sales Tax payments are timely received by terminals within specified deadlines to avoid penalties from Customs.
- To liaise with local Customs for any enquiries, audit, etc.
- Prepare direct tax and indirect tax fillings (tax returns and SST) in accordance with tax regulations.
- Obtain and analyze financial information and prepare relevant working paper which required as supporting for tax return and monthly SST return.
- Prepare tax estimation and quaterly capital allowance computation for statutory compliance and internal planning purpose.
- Prepare monthly tax instalment payment and ensure payments are made on a timely basis.
- Assess the treatment of Imported Taxable Service (ITS) Tax and Withholding Tax (WHT) for payment to foreign entities.
- Prepare inventory reports for materials claiming sales tax exemption.
- Handle 3rd party verification and annual vendor and supplier information to IRB.
- Attend other ad hoc project and assignment suc as IRB and Customs audit
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent, with strong academic achievement.
- Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants or Certified Public Accountant (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, others).
- Minimum 2 years of tax experience is an advantage. However, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in SAP application is an added advantage
